I think it was mentioned in the Historical Records 史记 by Sima Qian 司马迁。
Wherever and whenever football began, I know the English Premier League 英超 is very popular in China.
And now is a very exciting time in the season 赛季。
Football fans will know that both Manchester United 曼联队 and Chelsea 切尔希 are level on points with only one game left in the season. Everything depends on the last game this season.
Who do you think will win this year’s Premier League?
But I don’t support Manchester United or Chelsea. My favourite English team is Crystal Palace 水晶宫, who are in the Championship 英冠, not the Premier League. It is possible, though, that they might be in the Premier League next season if they win the play offs. Wish them luck!
Some of you will remember the name Crystal Palace because they were the first English club to sign the Chinese players Sun Jihai 孙继海 and Fan Zhiyi 范志毅 in 1998.
But why is the Crystal Palace football team called Crystal Palace?
